Marlana Hanner is an Accounting Manager at 68 Ventures. Marlana previously served in a leadership role with the Baldwin County Board of Education, where she oversaw procurement operations, capital project financial tracking, business operations, fixed assets and compliance processes for one of Alabama’s largest public school systems.
Marlana holds a Master of Business Administration from Amberton University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Finance from Auburn University. She is currently completing a Master of Accountancy at Auburn University and is preparing to pursue CPA licensure. She has also earned professional certifications including Chief School Finance Officer (CSFO), Purchasing/Procurement Certification, and Capital Planning Coordinator Certification, further demonstrating her commitment to financial leadership and professional excellence.
Throughout her academic and professional journey, Marlana has remained deeply committed to leadership, service, and continuous learning, driven by a passion for investing in others and strengthening the communities around her. Her involvement has included organizations such as the Society for Collegiate Leadership & Achievement (SCLA), Alpha Kappa Psi, Financial Management Association, Financial Leadership Society, Phi Theta Kappa, and Mu Alpha Theta, along with community service through initiatives such as Relay for Life, Project Uplift, and her current role on the Baldwin Proud Future Teacher Scholarship Committee. In recognition of her leadership, service, and commitment to uplifting others, Marlana has also received national recognition through the Influential Women honor.
Outside of her professional life, Marlana enjoys spending time with her husband, Marlin, and their triplets—Kaly Jo, Elana Belle, and Jaxson. She enjoys traveling, being on the water, sports, music, lifelong learning, and making memories with family, and friends.
