Kim Garrett serves as the Director of Communications for 68 Ventures promoting the company’s culture and values while engaging in its philanthropic efforts in the community. She is dedicated to building meaningful connections and relationships throughout 68 Ventures’ region, ensuring lasting impact and engagement in the communities we call home.
Prior to joining 68 Ventures, Kim spent over 13 years in organizational and non-profit leadership in operations, development, grant writing, and capacity building. With a proven track record of securing over $12 million in funding, she has successfully expanded donor engagement, executed large-scale fundraising events, and implemented strategic marketing initiatives to drive organizational growth. Majoring in social work at Abilene Christian University, she had the opportunity to serve both globally and domestically in Ukraine, Guatemala, and New York, shaping her passion for mission-driven work. She is a graduate of the 2014 Leadership Mobile class and served as Dean of the 2022 Leadership Mobile class, demonstrating her commitment to developing community leaders. Additionally, she is a member of the Downtown Mobile Rotary and has served on multiple Boards, including the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce and Housing First. She was also recognized in Mobile Bay Monthly’s 40 Under 40.
Above all, her greatest joy is her family—her husband and their three children—whom she loves chasing around at soccer games, cheering on in school activities, and watching them grow into who they are created to be.
