Jim Prial serves as Entrepreneur in Residence for 68 Ventures. In this role, he is actively searching for a business to acquire and run.

Jim joined 68 Ventures by way of Truland Homes where he served as division president and director of finance. As division president, Jim took over the struggling, Pensacola-based division of Truland Homes and brought it to profitability. As director of finance, Jim oversaw the implementation of a best-in-class ERP system and drastically improved the company’s financial reporting and analysis.

Prior to his business career, Jim served in the United States Marine Corps as an Infantry Officer. Jim’s career in the Marine Corps brought him to a variety of locales in South and Southeast Asia. His last tour was with the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency, whose mission was to locate, identify, and repatriate the remains of fallen service members from past wars.

Jim earned a bachelor’s degree from the United States Naval Academy, and an Master of Business Administration from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.

Jim is the husband of Maura McGraw and, when he’s not at work, he can be found getting laughs out of his two children.
